The Stud farm next door to Glyn-Coch exports Welsh Cob and Mountain ponies. Jan and Alan Pearce who run the stud farm share a love for Welsh cob ponies, which they export as far afield as New Zealand.
Their looks and excellent temperament mean that Welsh Cobs are ideal for youngsters learning to ride and many enthusiasts own them to show. 
Welsh ponies and cobs have a huge following in many countries and interest in this beautiful breed is growing. The UK Welsh Pony and Cob Society has around 7,500 members but there are also organisations in America, Canada, South Africa and mainland Europe.
Alan was once quoted as saying " They are very popular and are bred all over the world but you've always got to come home to find the fine blood lines"
