NOTES
1 Following the introduction of transport restrictions, and subsequent problems in obtaining a new ram we have split the flock into three breeding groups. Last year (2009) we retained all the old ewes, but this meant the groups were unbalanced and also that we were carrying too many sheep for the land. This year fewer ewes were tupped, but tupping was delayed as lambs were slow to fatten in the difficult summer of 2009, and their presence meant that we could not get adequate separation between breeding groups on our small acreage.
In Breeding coefficients of Current Rams are:-

(Hugh and) Dai is (are) not technically inbred, and
is (are) closely related to the Caliph founder ram.
Dylan and Gareth are beginning to get inbred, but only moderately so compared to
others in the breed, or to commercial stock
PICTURES of rams from hyperlinks in TABLE 2 were taken in dark barn, so I have removed the background so you can see them better
SEE our News/blog and Farm for Sale sections. We may be selling the entire flock, probably in early summer 2010 - if we decide to sell up. Watch this space for news!
